Mount Vernon Lions Club Projects include:
Fleece Shawls & Diabetic Socks
Lion Ryan cutting fleece shawls that were later distributed to the local hospital and nursing homes. Last year, we donated over 40 shawls!
Peace Poster Contest
The MVE Lions Club partners with local schools and art classes to have students 11-13 in age draw or depict a picture of what they envision peace to be. The Lions Club International Peace Poster Contest has submissions from all over the world and pictured above is the 2019-2020 winning piece by 12-year old Zhuo Zhang from China.
Bland Contest
Each year, the MVE Lions Club sponsors children from local schools who compete in the Bland Contest. Students either play an instrument or sing and above Zone Chair, Sharon Fussell, is pictured with last year's Bland Music participants.
