​Single working mother of one receives car thru the Morro Bay Lions Foundation. The car had been donated by Lion Bill Todd of Todd's Garage to the Morro Bay Resource Center

On a local level Morro Bay Lions Club:

• Provides eye screening in local elementary schools in Morro Bay and Los Osos and glasses to students in need

• Supports vision exams and glasses for adults and families in need in the community

• Provides community dinners on the 1st Monday of the month to those in need

• Rings the Bell for Salvation Army during the Holiday Season

• Supports Morro Bay High School with academic scholarships, Safe and Sober Grad Night, and the music programs

• Helps with the acquisition and display of American Flags to local merchants

• Contributions are made to local organizations including Morro Bay in Bloom and Guerrilla Gardeners Club

• Supports City of Morro Bay Parks and Recreation Summer Youth Sports Program with scholarships for needy youth

• Performs minor maintenance of the Morro Bay Veterans Memorial Building and Snack Shack at Lila Keiser Park

• Lead the 2015 Morro Bay hosting of the Special Olympics Team

• Lions Family Center at the City of Hope

• Lions Eye Foundation of California-Nevada

• Lions Club International
