White Cane Week
White Canes are sold every April by the Metamora Lions in downtown Metamora and at the locations below. Sales of the White Canes provide funds for the many Lions Club sight programs.
Metamora Country Days and Hot Air BallOon Festival
A fun filled weekend for the whole family. Try riding in the monster truck, or the helicoptor or just sit back on the hill and watch the truck and horse pulls. Under the tent we will have refreshments and food, entertainment and you can always try your luck at chicken bingo. We have inflatables and activities for kids and at night we will have fireworks.
Cider & Donut Sales
The Metamora Lion Club celebrates the beginning of the autumn season with its annual October fresh cider and donut sale in downtown Metamora. All proceeds support Metamora Lions' projects.
Lions' Children's Halloween Party
Halloween candy, cider, donuts and hotdogs fresh from the grill are available to Metamora’s young ghouls and goblins. All this and more happen Halloween Night under the Ellen M. Yorks Pavilion next to Lions Park. Weather permitting there will be a bonfire behind the pavilion. There has been reports of a phantom fireworks display appearing out of nowhere during past Lions Halloween parties.
December - Metamora Christmas Tree Lighting
Each year the Metamora Lions Club sponsors the Metamora Village Christmas Tree Light Ceremony. The Club serves up free cookies and hot cocolate to the carolers and the spectators at this festive occasion.
Sr. Citizens Holiday Dinner
The holiday season is time for the Metamora Lions Club ‘s annual Senior Citizens Holiday Dinner. The Club’s membership along with the Fire Department, Scouts and other volunteers serve over 300 people a roast turkey dinner with all of the trimmings during this annual event that brings old friends together. Each lady gets a beautiful poinsettia for their holiday center piece compliments of the Lions.
