      The Medford-North Patchogue Lions Club is a 501 (c)(3) tax exempt Foundation.

It was chartered in 1966 by a group of local businesses men and residents who were interested in improving the community. Membership is open to men and women who care about the place where they work or live.

Joseph Muller was the first President. The club is part of Lions Clubs International which has more than 1,293,000 members in 220 countries. Lions have more member countries than the United Nations.

Every penny the Medford-North Patchogue Lions Club raises is donated to charity.

Community organizations like the Lions are vital to making our community a great place to live.Our slogan says it all:

How We Help the Medford-North Patchogue Community

We have collected hundreds of eye glasses which are reprocessed and donated to needy families.

We have provided Financial Aid to the Industrial Home for the Blind.

We have provided new eye glasses and exams for our less fortunate neighbors.

We have purchased and distributed Thanksgiving and Christmas food baskets to needy families.

We have provided Financial Aid to Camp Pa-Qua-Tuck for handicapped children.

We have provided Financial Aid to the Guide Dog Foundation that trains seeing eye dogs and blind students to use them.

We have provided televisions and Christmas caroling to the residents at the Foley Skilled Nursing Facility.

We have provided two scholarships annually to Seniors at the Patchogue-Medford High School.

We have provided humanitarian assistance as needed locally, nationally, and internationally.

We have an annual yard sale selling quality goods at very reasonable prices to the local community.

 

How Can You Help?

We are looking for community minded persons to help us help our community.  The Medford-North Patchogue Lions Club is open to men and women who have a desire to make a difference and help those less fortunate.  To become a member please call Larry Mintz at (631) 525-6001
