The McKean Lions host a pancake breakfast twice a year. On the Saturday before the breakfast, we shape 140 pounds of bulk sausage into 600 sausage patties.

For the best taste, we grill the sausage over charcoal (with propane as a backup).

While the sausage cooks, other Lions are mixing pancake batter.

We keep the griddles loaded with our big, fluffy pancakes.

It’s another full-house for the pancake breakfast! With the profits we made today, we are able to help many deserving causes.

The McKean Lionesses join in, too, with a bake sale featuring banana bread, jelly rolls, ginger snaps, fruit pies, and other homemade goodies.

The Lionesses sell raffle tickets for a wreath filled with gift cards. The money raised is donated to local charities.
