Welcome to McGregor Lions Club
The McGregor Lions were chartered November 9, 1965 and received their charter on January 22, 1966 at a party held at Kare Phree Pines (now known as Big Sandy Lodge). There were originally 44 Charter members.
Over the past 50+ years, our club has planned and conducted a variety of community and humanitarian projects. The annual fall Corn Feed for the McGregor community and friends has been a favorite since the start. The clubs annual participation in the Athletic and Academic Banquet to honor local school athletes and scholars has been a major project since our beginning. Other equally important projects are Sight Conservation, Hearing, Diabetes Awareness, Citizenship, Educational, Environmental, Recreational, International and Social Services, Youth Exchange, and Drug Awareness.
The McGregor Lions welcome all residents who are of legal majority, good moral character, and good reputation who wish to participate in an organization dedicated to community service while providing a social environment. We are backed by the world's largest service organization, Lions Club International, and are one of around 70 clubs in Lions Multiple District 5M-9 which stretches across central Minnesota from McGregor to Breckenridge on the North Dakota border.
Lions Clubs International is the world's largest service club organization with more than 1.4 million members in approximately 46,000 clubs in more than 200 countries and geographical areas around the world.
