Eye Screening At Maps Air Museum

Eye Screenings and Glasses Collection

Each year the Massillon Lions perform vision screenings or the Massillon City schools, Massillon parochial schools, and community outreach events.

Lion Rick Dalsky is our Vision chair.

Eye Glasses Collection:

Lions help to conserve sight by providing usable eyeglasses to children and adults throughout the world.  An estimated 120 million people are visually impaired because of uncorrected refractive errors (far and nearsightedness). Almost all cases can be corrected and normal vision can be restored with eyeglasses, contact lenses, or refractive surgery.
The lack of eyeglasses denies children and adults opportunities for education, employment, and a better quality of life.

Do you have used glasses, reading glasses, or sunglasses that you would like to donate? Please visit any of the following collection sites:

Lions Lincoln Theatre

The Lincoln opened November 23, 1915, as the largest and finest movie theatre in Ohio. In 1982 the Massillon Lions Club raised over half a million dollars to restore and then operate the historic theatre. When the theatre was reopened in 1983 all work was performed by Massillon Lions and their family and friends.

Today the theatre is a nonprofit organization run by a Board of Trustees. The Lincoln is currently self-sustaining thanks to the many dedicated volunteers. If you are interested in volunteering or supporting our community treasure, go to the Theatre’s website: https://lionslincolntheatre.org/
