Easter Egg Hunt

For over 20 years we have been hosting a free Easter Egg Hunt at the Martinez Marina the Saturday before Easter.  We have been joined in this effort by the Martinez Lioness Club and Martinez Kiwanis Club.   Just imagine 3000 eggs and 400 kids, never mind, you have to see it to believe it!  

We Honor our Peace Officers

Every fall we have a dinner honoring the Officer of the Year from the Martinez Police Department and Contra Costa County Sheriff’s Department.  It is a great event with home-made food, and best of all home-made desserts.  It is our chance to thank them for their service.

We raise money

We have a great time raising the money we use to serve our community.  We have 2 major fund raisers each year, and both are all about food.  In early January of each year we have an all you can eat Crab Feed with 160 people in attendance.   See the photo gallery.

Our second event is just before St. Patrick’s Day when we host a corned beef and cabbage feed.  The entire event started with the Irish Soda Bread that Lion Delores makes.  But the event is getting bigger every year with 140 folks “sharing the green” last year.
