Meetings

Our March Dinner Meeting will feature Lion Laurie Carlson speaking on Can Do Canines.  It will be held on Tuesday, March 3  at Sgt. Pepper's in Oakdale (930 Helena Avenue N). If you're interested in attending as a guest at our dinner meeting, reach out to Lion Jason Demoe at (651) 331-8076.

Our March business meeting is 7 p.m. on Tuesday, January 20 in the Maple Ridge Community Room at 1695 County Road D East, Maplewood.

Thanks to all those who joined us at the 18th Annual All You Can Eat Chili Feed on Thursday, February 2 at the Lakewood Salvaction Army. Your attendance and purchase of chili makes it possible for us to issue grants to our community. Thanks to Lions Robert Olson and Dee Hess who were project leaders.

Our next Joy Park Neighborhood Preserve monitoring will take place  on Saturday, April 11. Join us for a pleasant nature walk and the rewards of assuring this public treasure is clean and safe. To accomodate members who will be helping distribute wreaths at Ft. Snelling Cemetery, we will gather early that day, 9 a.m., in the Joy Park parking lot across the street from the Preserve.

Our next Today's Harvest volunteer opportunity will be Saturday, March 14.  Contact Lion Roger Green at (651) 357-8080 if you'd care to join us in this fun and rewarding service project.

We collect used eyeglasses! They are truly the "gift of sight" to people in third world countries. In fact, we collected 4,375 pairs last year! If you've got old eyeglasses to contribute, drop them in a collection box at your local optical shop or call any Lion!
