Our December Maplewood North Lions Dinner Meeting will be our annual Christmas Party. The meeting takes place on Tuesday, December 3 at Sgt. Peppers Restaurant, 930 Helena Ave. N, Oakdale. Thanks to Lion Kathy Dean for coordinating this year's Metro Dining Club cards fundraiser again this year. Thanks to all members who sold or purchased boxes. 

Thanks to all our club members who rang the Salveation Army bells on Saturday, November 16 at Cub Foods on White Bear Avenue. The weather coorperated this year. 

Our next Joy Park Neighborhood Preserve monitoring will take place  on Saturday, December 14. Join us for a pleasant nature walk and the rewards of assuring this public treasure is clean and safe. We gather at 10 a.m. in the Joy Park parking lot across the street from the Preserve.

The Lions District 5M6 Midwinter Convention is Friday and Saturday, January 10 and 11 at the Doubletree by Hilton on Burns Avenue in St. Paul.

We collect used eyeglasses! They are truly the "gift of sight" to people in third world countries. In fact, we collected 4,375 pairs last year! If you've got old eyeglasses to contribute, drop them in a collection box at your local optical shop or call any Lion!
