Our annual Holiday Party took place on Devember 2. It was a fun, festive gathering. Thanks to Lions Robert and Dee for organizing and hosting this event.
Our January Dinner Meeting will feature Lions 2nd Vice District Governor Paul Jacobson. It will be held on Tuesday, January 6 at Sgt. Pepper's in Oakdale (930 Helena Avenue N). If you're interested in attending as a guest at our dinner meeting, reach out to Lion Jason Demoe at (651) 331-8076.
The February dinner meeting featured speaker will be Past District Governor Paul Williams who will update us on the White Bear Lake Lions annual show which is returning this year.
Our January business meeting is 7 p.m. on Tuesday, January 20 in the Maple Ridge Community Room at 1695 County Road D East, Maplewood.
The 18th Annual All You Can Eat Chili Feed is taking place from 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, February 2 at the Laewood Salvaction Army, 2080 Woodlynn Avenue in Maplewood. $15 will get you the chili plus all the fixings - bread, crackers, cofffee, milk & dessert. Can't stay to eat - Chil to go is $15 per quart. Contact your local Lion for free delivery of the quarts.

Our next Joy Park Neighborhood Preserve monitoring will take place on Saturday, February 14. Join us for a pleasant nature walk and the rewards of assuring this public treasure is clean and safe. To accomodate members who will be helping distribute wreaths at Ft. Snelling Cemetery, we will gather early that day, 9 a.m., in the Joy Park parking lot across the street from the Preserve.
Our next Today's Harvest volunteer opportunity will be Saturday, January 17. This is one week later than normal to accommodate the Mid-Winter Convention on January 10. Contact Lion Roger Green at (651) 357-8080 if you'd care to join us in this fun and rewarding service project.
The Lions District 5M6 Mid-Winter Convention takes place Friday and Saturday, January 9 and 10 at the Doubletree by Hilton Saint Paul East. Maplewood North Lions representatives will be on hand.

We collect used eyeglasses! They are truly the "gift of sight" to people in third world countries. In fact, we collected 4,375 pairs last year! If you've got old eyeglasses to contribute, drop them in a collection box at your local optical shop or call any Lion!
