Our November guest speaker  at the Maplewood North Lions Dinner Meeting will be Second Vice District Governor LIon Lynette Welsch. The meeting takes place on Tuesday, November 5 at Sgt. Peppers Restaurant, 930 Helena Ave. N, Oakdale. Social is at 6 and dinner at 6:30 p.m. 

Our Business Meeting is 7 p.m. on Tuesday, November 19 at Villages on McKnight, 177 McKnight Road N, St. Paul. 

Maplewood North was well represented at the Lions Zone 2 meeting  on Thursday, October 24 with eight members on hand! 

We're selling Metro Dining Club cards again this year. The box sells for just $30 and makes available to you hundreds of dollars of savings at local restaurants and entertainment facilities. Reach out to Lion Kathy Dean at 651-238-6152 or any Club member to get yours. 

Our next Joy Park Neighborhood Preserve monitoring will take place  on Saturday, December 14. Join us for a pleasant nature walk and the rewards of assuring this public treasure is clean and safe. We gather at 10 a.m. in the Joy Park parking lot across the street from the Preserve.

Lions will be bell ringing for the Salvation Army on Saturday, November 16 at Cub Foods, 2390 White Bear Avenue. Be sure to help fill the red kettles if you're shopping there that day!

We collect used eyeglasses! They are truly the "gift of sight" to people in third world countries. In fact, we collected 4,375 pairs last year! If you've got old eyeglasses to contribute, drop them in a collection box at your local optical shop or call any Lion!
