The Manitowish Waters Lions Club is a community and social service organization dedicated to the idea that the men and women who live in the community are in the best position to help and promote that community. Chartered in 1971, the Club has a long history of support to the local community.

The Manitowish Waters Lions Club meets socially on a monthly basis with the purpose and focus being to work to improve and promote the Manitowish Waters community.  Activities such as the Flea, Craft and Farm Market, Bingo, Pancake Breakfast, Pork Chop Dinners, Car Show, Annual Cash Raffle and Golf Outing are undertaken to generate revenue to fund such programs as Lions Camp at Rosholt, Wisconsin, Wisconsin Lions Foundation, Leader Dog Program, WIsconsin Eye Bank, Diabetes Awaremess Program, Mission To Mexico, Vision Screening and in the local community Lakeland Union High School Scholarships, Discovery Center, Camp Jorn, Manitowish Waters Fire/Rescue, Mercer and Boulder Junction Food Pantrys, Koller library, North Lakeland Elementary School Foundation, Eagles Youth Baseball, Music In The Park and others.

The Lions motto is "We Serve" and the Manitowish Waters Lions Club is always looking for new members who are willing to take on the esence of this motto with sincerity and action.  Individuals interested in joining the Club should contact Membership Chairperson Lion Mark Suckow at 715-476-2959 for more information.
