Scholorship of Rs. 5000/- granted to a maraine engineering student. Furniture and School aids worth Rs. 22000/- donated to Elumalai Elementary School. Dustfree Chalks provided to 5 different schools.

In the first 5 months spent Rs. 19580 in providing food and rice to oldage homes and eye care patients.

Environment Education programme conducted at Balamandiram High School. 5 tree saplings planted at Gandhi Museum and maintained regularly.

With the support of Aravind Eye Hospital vision screening was done for 199 people from Nagamalai Pudukkottai area. 27 of them underwent free cataract surgery. 36 were provided with eye glasses.

Leo Club of Madurai SPVM School has been organized with 45 Original Members drawn from S P V M Higher Secondary School. This is a School based Alpha Leo Club.

Sithayankottai Lions Club is on drawing board. Two meetings are held. Moving towards January Charter.

Inducted three new members in the first quarter of the year. Special Centennial Member Lapels and Centennial Sponsor Lapels are received from LCI for the new members and their sponsors.

Workshop on drawing board. This activity will be a Zone level activity with Madurai Vaigai, Madurai Annai and Madurai Mid-Town (Zone 1).
