Lions club of Mabole donated dry rations to the village of Duwa Watta in Mabole to be cooked and distributed to the approx 1,500 individuals of 600 displaced families during the recent floods.

Donation includes: Rice 220kgs, Dhal 25kgs, Soya Meat 15kgs, Coconut oil, Curry powder, Chilli powder, Chilli Flakes, Dried Chillies, Salt, Garlic, B-onions, Papadam packets, Milk packets, Tea Leaves and 600 face masks donated to the club by Lion Placidus Peter. Lion Sherika - President of the club, Lion Ruwan Abeywickrame - Region Chairman - R5, Lion Malathi Co-service Chairman of the Club, Lion Sadew - new member of the Club and Lion Shammi another new member of the Club participated for the event. Other club members and L/L Natasha Rodrigo of Lions Club of Kochchikade contributed with cash and kind.

"Distribution of dry rations to 75 families was carried out.
75 packs containing rice, pulses and vegetables were provided. Each pack costed Rs.4000
Total Project cost Rs.300,000.
Some of the packs were given to the PHI offers of the area to be
distributed among the families in the isolated areas.
