FALL  FLEA  MARKET:  OCTOBER  16

Our Fall Flea Market was a rousing success!  The weather was great and the crowd was very upbeat as the more than 230 vendor sites provided many deals.  Chairperson Lion Betsy Kresge and husband Lion Phil did a splendid job of making sure that everything was set up perfectly ready for the day.  We thank all members of the Lower Lehigh Lions Club for taking the time to make this a special day.  The patrons especially liked the Shoo-Fly Pies and Funny Cakes we had for sale.  Our 50/50 Raffle provided some instant prizes for our winners.  The complete list of winners is provided below.  Thanks again to all who participated in this fun event.

RAFFLE  WINNERS:

Alisa Long - $93.20

Elliot Billman - $46.60

Bob Ricca - $46.60

Jim Weihbrecht - $23.30

Suzy Sopko - $23.30

We thank all who participated in this raffle.  We collected a total of $466 and gave out $233 in prize money.  The $233 staying with our club will help support the many projects we do throughout the year.  Thank you again for your continued support of our club.

HALLOWEEN  PARADE  2021

We are very sorry to report that the Macungie Halloween Parade for 2021 is canceled.  Due to the extremely low number of participants, we really had no choice but to cancel.  A Halloween parade with so few marching units would not be enjoyable for the public.  We pride ourselves on gathering a large number of entries but this year that large number never came.  The committee tried many times to solicit previous and new units to march but those requests were unanswered.  We all hope that the 2022 parade will be back to its full glory.  Thanks you for your cooperation.

FOOD  BANK  DONATIONS

Our club will continue to collect food items for the Zionsville Area Food Pantry .  Lion Everett Johnson will be helping us with this effort and taking our donated items to the church.  With the help of our club, many people will have an opportunity to eat well balanced meals every day.  Our donations have been very sparse recently.   Please help us by bringing in some items that can be passed on to the many needy people who use this food bank.  Toiletries are especially in need at this time.

Thanks for your donations

STUDENT  EYE  GLASSES/EXAMS

Our club provides eye glasses and eye exams to needy students in the East Penn School District.  When a student has been identified as needing glasses, we set up an appointment with an eye doctor and provide a free exam.  Following the exam, if glasses are necessary, then basic ones are given to the student.  If you know of such a student, please contact one of the following:
