The Longview Monticello Lions Club was established in 1955 and is a member of Lions Club International as well as Multiple District 19 Zone G1. The club was sponsored by the Pioneer Lions to fill the need for an evening club in the Longview/Kelso area.
We currently meet at The Carriage Restaurant on 12th Ave in Longview the 2nd and 4th Monday of each month at 6:30pm. Board meetings are held the 3rd Monday of each month at 7pm at the same location.
The majority of the funds donated by the club are generated from newspaper recycling through generous assistance from Norpac and tireless work by our newspaper crew.
We donate funds annually to
- Lions Club International Foundation (LCIF)
- NW Lions Sight and Hearing
- NW Lions Eyeglass Recycling Center (LERC)
- CARE (MD19)
- Camp Leo
- Boy Scouts
- CAP Food Warehouse
