As a new Lions Club, we are still developing service projects. Our first service projects of the new program year will be:

Cubsight Eye Screening events at Local Libraries

Where: Main Branch of the Livingston Parish Library, 20390 Iowa Street, Livingston, LA

When:  Aug 26th from 12:30p - 2:30p.

Future screenings will be scheduled in September for the Denham Springs/Walker branch and the South Branch.  Check back to see when they are scheduled.

Consent forms can be downloaded here and will also be available at the Main Parish Library and must be completed before a child's eyes can be screened.  The screening takes less than a minute per child.  Screening will provide information on any needed next steps.

Livingston Parish Lions Club                Diabetes Support Group

Join us for a new program for Livingston Parish!  This free group meeting is aimed at helping diabetics and their friends and family better understand the condition and how to better manage it.  Open to people 10 years and up.  

Monthly group meetings will have a theme or topic of focus and will also offer time to meet in small groups with others to have an open discussion with your peers.

Here is our flyer about the meetings through December 2023.  The Group will meet on the 2nd Thursday of the month at 6pm at the OLOL Walker Emergency Hospital in their Community Room on the second floor.  Enter through the ER entrance and security will guide you to the elevators.  Once you get off the elevator enter through the double doors to your left and turn left down the hallway until you reach the room.  There will be directional signs for the meetings.  Questions?
