Little Rock South Lions Club

Welcome to the Little Rock South Lion's Club. We’d love to tell you all about our organization and hopefully convince you to become a part of our team!

On April 25, 2009, our club officially became a part of Lion’s Club International, an organization dedicated to serving others since 1917. Our chapter represents the Saline County community of East End and the Pulaski County community of Landmark.

We are a dedicated group of people from all walks of life, who care greatly about these two communities and want to come together to make it an even better place to live.

We would love for you to join us at one of our meetings, at Lorance Dr church of Christ, on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month, at 6:30 p.m.  Our meetings are only an hour long, and we discuss what we have planned in the future.  We are constantly working on ways to meet the needs of both communities,  as well as our programs to provide eye glasses and eye exams for those in need. All visitors are welcome to join us to see how our meetings are conducted and what plans we have to benefit your community.  You will receive a hearty welcome!

In Aug. ‘09, we held the first ever East End Sizzler 5K Race and Health Fair. Over 175 people joined in the race and many more took a stroll through the health fair and were given free information and health tests.  This has become an annual event, with various vendors displaying their wares for sale.

Another annual event includes "Cowboy Up" - a BBQ banquet, live and silent auctions, with live entertainment from a band known as the "Drugstore Cowboys".  The individuals in the band are all pharmacists in the Little Rock and East End area. They sing and play a variety of country western songs.  The proceeds from the Cowboy Up is usually spent on various needs of both the East End and Landmark communities.
