Pride of Lions Club Projects and Events 

2018:

August 4th: Fall Festival Volleyball Tournament /

July 22nd: Community Picnic & Membership Drive /

February 10th: Dueling Pianos / this year was our 2nd time having this fun event! It was held in the evening at the Prairie Event Center and we filled the place up. Our famous "wine wall" was present, along with snacks, beverages and a great time! What a FUN way for us to raise money.

2012
*02/12/2012 5th Annual Sweethearts Dance was held with proceeds supporting our local youth and other projects.

2011
*12/4/2011 Prairie Christmas was held. Another great year for crafters and vendors to showcase their merchandise. Carolers, Just 4 Kix and a local bell choir entertained this year.
*09/18/2011 4th Annual Wine & Ale Tasting was held in support of our local youth projects. Several hundred dollars were raised for the Panther Booster's building project at the Track & Football Field
*8/6/2011 Annual Bicycle Ride & Walk-A-Thon rwas held in conjunction with the Parkers Prairie Fall Festival. The event was rained out, but we had good feedback to continue the event in conjunction with the Fall Festival every year.
*8/6/2011 Mutt Strut was held in conjunction with the Parkers Prairie Fall Festival. Many pups of different breeds came to strut their stuff! A great time was had by all!
*6/18/2011 2nd Annual Bicycle Ride & Walk-A-Thon was held. We had over 20 participants and raised hundreds of dollars for our local Parkers Prairie Community Pool Fund.
*04/01/2011 Tootsie Pageant was new this year! We had five great guys from the community come out at show off their dance moves and skills to the community. Winner Derek Denny was crowned and the event raised over $600!
*02/11/2011 4th Annual Sweetheart's Dinner & Dance araised several hundred dollars! AC Entertainment provided music for our guests to dance the night away! RK's Prairie Cafe provided a wonderful, filling meal!
 

2009
*12//2009 Prairie Christmas was held. Another great year for crafters and vendors to showcase their merchandise.
*09/26/2009 2nd Annual Wine & Ale Tasting was held. Over $1,500 was raised to support our local youth.
*06/27/2009 3rd Annual Motorcycle Fun Ride for Youth was held with proceeds supporting our local youth.
*02/14/2009 2nd Annual Sweethearts Dance was held with proceeds supporting our local youth and other projects.

2008
*12/06/2008 Parkers Prairie Pride of Lions held the annual communities Prairie Christmas.
*09/27/2008 We hosted our 1st Wine & Ale Tasting at the Prairie Event Center. We had a huge success raising over $4,000 and plan to continue each year. The proceeds received were donated to Parkers Prairie School District for books.
*07/12/2008 2nd Annual Motorcycle Fun Ride for Youth was held. Proceeds to support the youth.
 

2007 - Our Charter Year!
*10/25/2007 Parkers Prairie Pride of Lions hosted the Zone 9 meeting.
*10/14/2007 Parkers Prairie Pride of Lions hosted the 5M9 Mini Forum at the Prairie Event Center. Past Distisct Governor Carroll Kukowski officiated. We love her!
*09/15/2007 The Parkers Prairie Pride of Lions hosted our official Charter Night. We had a wonderful turn-out and were very touched by the warm reception we received from our neighboring Lions. Thanks to all that helped make this a night we'll always remember.
*08/15/2007 The Lion Pride held a Mutt Strut at our communities annual Fall Festival. What fun! We plan to expand on this event and are sure to see it grow much bigger.
*07/07/2007 Our FIRST EVENT as a club. We had our first annual Motorcycle Run for Youth. This was a big undertaking and we didn't raise a lot of money - but we had a wonderful turn out for a first time event. We all learned a lot. We're looking forward to our next ralley.
