Kindness Matters Service Award

Some exciting news from Lichfield Lions Club (District 105CN) who were proud recipients of the prestigious Kindness Matters Service Awards which were presented to our members in June by our then District Governor Neil Martin.

This award is given annually to a handful of Lions clubs for performing an outstanding service project with the aim of leaving a positive impact in their communities. In 2020/2021 only 30 projects around the world have been recognised, and Lichfield Lions was the only UK based club to receive one. The club was awarded, a trophy and medals for each member.

The Club met a unique need in helping those impacted by domestic abuse compounded by the pandemic by offering shelter and food, white goods, furniture and bedding to families fleeing domestic violence in excess of £11,000.
