LION PAUL McCARTHY
Lion Paul McCarthy was honored for his 40 years of dedicated community service with the Lawton Northeast Lions at the parent club's meeting on Saturday, 16 July, 2022 at Golden Corral. Lion Paul's dedication to his Lions Club and the Lawton/Ft. Sill community is nothing short of legendary. He is a true leader that has served in all club offices (many times!). Lion Paul has been and continues to be an inspiration to all of us that have the privilege and honor to serve in the Lions with him. When you see flags out in front of local businesses on many federal holidays, you can bet that Lion Paul was involved, along with the other dedicated Lions. The difference is that Lion Paul has been doing it longer than anyone else! Elaine Keir, Club President, presented Lion Paul with the 40-year Monarch Chevron to be proudly worn on his vest as well as a nice plaque! Not many Lions have earned this award! Lion Paul served his country in the U.S. Army for 20 years and he was still on active duty when he joined the Lions. Thank you for all that you do and have done, Lion Paul!
