2014 Ice Fishing Derby Rules

LARAMIE PLAINS LIONS CLUB

ICE FISHING DERBY 2014

1. Only registered anglers may win prizes. Unregistered anglers in your party may jeopardize the validity of a fish caught by a registered fisherman.

2. Registrations cannot be transferred.

3. Disputes will be settled by Derby Officials, located at the official weigh-in location. Their decision will be final.

4. To be eligible for adult prizes, contestants must hold a 2014 Wyoming Fishing License, must be registered and must have paid an adult entry fee.

5. Contestants under the age of 14 must be registered and must be accompanied by a registered adult. Eligible for youth prizes only, unless registered as an adult.

6. Any cheating, such as early fishing or swapping fish among other entries, will disqualify you.

7. Frozen fish will not be accepted for measurement.

8. Fish will be accepted for measurement after 8 AM or before 4:20 PM on Saturday AND after 8 AM or before 3:20 PM on Sunday.

9. When a fish is caught, it must be brought to the Headquarters at the lake for measurement within 20 minutes. Fish registered with the Derby will not be released. Gutting or any other alteration of the fish will result in disqualification. The fish size will be determined by length and girth. Weight will be used as a tie breaker.

10. No vehicles are allowed on the ice, including snowmobiles and all-terrain vehicles during Derby hours without specific written authorization from Derby Officials. Violation of this rule will cause all registrations in your party to be voided. Derby Officials are not responsible for accidents as a result of being on the ice.

11. The Derby Committee claims no responsibility for accidents or injuries on the ice or the surrounding area as a whole. You are on the premises at your own risk.

12. Derby hours: Saturday—8 AM through 4 PM and Sunday—8 AM through 3 PM

13. Wyoming Game and Fish Regulations for 2014 apply to all registrants. Violations of regulations will result in disqualification from participation in the Derby.

14. Registration tickets must be visible on participants.

15. Only fish coming from Lake Hattie caught during the hours of the derby will be awarded prizes.

16. Signature on registration ticket implies consent for release and use of you name and pictures to the public via printed, video, or internet media.
