A MESSAGE FROM YOUR PRESIDENT
You are a member of the largest service club organization in the world. In the year 2017, there were 46,000 clubs, in 208 countries in every corner of the globe. A brotherhood of 1,350,000 service minded people. 2017 was the 100 year anniversary of Lions Club International. Melvin Jones, was the first President of Lions Club International. The Melvin Jones Feliowship Award is named after him.
In 1925, Helen Keller came to the International Convention and asked that we become the Knights of the Blind in the crusade against darkness. The Lions accepted that challenge and have continued that work to this date. We have taken up the challenge of serving our community's hearing impaired, diabetes stricken, physically disabled and the less fortunate persons in our communities.
Lions Club International and our Lions Club's motto is We Serve. It is my pleasure to serve with the most outstanding group of men and women that are members of the Lake Tomahawk Lions Club. Where there is a need, there is a LION!
Thanks for being Lions.
Lion Kevin Klitzman
President, Lake Tomahawk Lions Club
