The Lake Tekapo Lions Club serves the small community around the beautiful alpine Lake Tekapo in the Mackenzie Country of Aotearoa, New Zealand.
Recent community projects that our Lions have undertaken include the designing, clearing and landscaping of the Bruce Scott Memorial Walkway beside the river, the Lions Corner in the village centre and the Sequoia Grove in the Lake Tekapo Regional Park.
Felling, ringing and splitting logs for firewood by our Lions is a major source of fundraising that enables this Lions Club to help fund local initiatives, sponsor local youth and support national and international charities and disasters.
Lions Clubs International is the world's largest service club organization with more than 1.4 million members in approximately 46,000 clubs in more than 200 countries and geographical areas around the world.
