Stone Bank Lions Club Service Projects
- Preparing sandwiches for the homeless - over 5,000 sandwiches
- Donate to local food pantries
- Award Scholarships to Arrowhead Union High School District seniors – 3 per year
- Peace Poster Contest amongst grade school children with recognition for winners
- Collect eyeglasses and hearing aids for redistribution to those in need
- Conduct vision screening for elementary school children to ensure issues are caught early; includes assitance for eye doctor and glasses
- Transport eye tissue and donate to Wisconsin Lions Eye Bank
- Take flowering plants to and visit with shut-ins
- Donate to Wisconsin Lions Pride Endowment Fund for Lions Camp in Rosholt, WI for disabled children and adults – 1,300 campers per year attend free
- Support BOLD, Blind Outdoor Leisure Development: for blind or visually impaired to help them experience outdoor sports and leisure activities
- Support Leader Dogs for the Blind
- Collect backpacks, lunch bags, school supplies and donations for kids in need: goods and cash donated to Waukesha Women’s Center
- Grant gift cards for a Thanksgiving meal for those financially stressed
- Purchase and wrap Christmas gifts for financially stressed families
- Collect donations and provide funds via Lions International for national disasters, such as hurricanes and earthquakes
- Collect winter clothing for the homeless
- Collect non-perishable food for homeless veterans to support Hartland American Legion Post 294 sleeping out to raise awareness of homeless veterans' plight
- July 4 Festival with live music, great food, beverages and our popular Raffle.
