Lafayette Lioness Lions Club
2010-2011
The following is a summary of the remarks made on May 24th, 2011 at the Installation Banquet for the New Officers for the upcoming year by the Current President Billie Lee regarding a some of the accomplishment of the past year of the Lafayette Lioness Lions Club and all the hard work but lots of fun and good friendships developed while helping our neighbors in Macon County as well as fellow Tennesseans and others in the International Community.
This year has been a great year with a lot of hard work from these ladies. But I've found out that the hard works translates into benefits for the people in our county and beyond that need our help. There are also many blessings in the friendships that are formed. The extended family that becomes an integral part of your everyday life, surrounding yourself with people that are more interested in helping others than what is in it for them. The people surrounding you are truly interested in living our motto "WE Serve".
We have had another busy year, with a lot of projects completed & a few still in the works. Our joint projects with the other Lions Club were Hillbilly Day and the Radio Auction. All 3 clubs in the county helped in the eye screenings.
