My sincere appreciation goes to all the members for giving me this opportunity to lead this prestigious Lions Club. The new fiscal year of Service started with a hive of activities and into the 101st year in Lion Clubs International’s history. The club started off the year with a mega Joint Environment Project, “World Oceans Day 2018”. It was held on 11 & 12 Aug 2018 at The Boulevard, Publika Shopping Gallery, Kuala Lumpur. Organizing club for this joint project was our Lions Club of KL Parkcity. A total of 26 clubs from District 308 B1 participated in this joint project which attracted a crowd of more than 5,000 visitors over a two day period.
From Environment awareness project, the club has in its plan to serve the community with a Joint Education Seminar, Eye Screening and Peace Poster Contest in October 2018, Tree Planting Challenge Campaign, Blood Donation and Diabetes Awareness Drive in November 2018 and Education Projects in December 2018. Lions Club of KL Parkcity will continue to impact the community while fostering fellowship among Fellow Lion members.
In conclusion, I am truly proud to be a member of this club and as its 3rd president, I truly hope everyone will continue to come together, enjoy themselves with the Spirit of a true Lion, and put in the effort to lift the club to greater heights in the near future.
