Convalescent Equipment Loan Program

The Convalescent Equipment Program has been a top fundraising activity for KCLC.  The most common equipment we have in stock are wheelchairs, shower stools & chairs (swivel, sliding, XL), walkers (seated and non), commode (seat risers, safety rails and full bed side), crutches, and canes.  On occasion we have more specialized items such as transport chairs, walking boots, blood pressure cuffs etc.

We request donations to be made for medical equipment loaned out on short term.  Anyone needing equipment for a longer term is welcome to purchase the equipment at a reduced rate from than you would find elsewhere.

Our volunteers can be reached at  (971) 412-2144.  Call to coordinate a date/time to meet at our storage garage to pick-up needed equipment or drop off your clean and gently used equipment.

Because of limited space, we do not accept electric scooters, lift chairs or hospital beds.

RECYCLING

* NEWSPAPER recycling is our club's longest running fundraising project. The King City Lions started collecting newspapers in 1968, the year after the club got chartered.  Newspapers at our newspaper box located in the parking lot of Tigard Dental ~ 11820 SW King James Pl, King City, OR 97224.

Our current contract prevents us from including shiny/slick papers (such as magazines or some types of advertisements) or full color paper (such as used for tickets or some flyers).  We appreciate your support of our program by not including any of these in loads dropped off or left out for pick-up.

* CANS (& bottles) FOR A CAUSE is fast becoming one of our best fundraisers.  Through this program we have raised over $13K to send veterans back east to visit their approporate Memorial.  Our club has sent over a dozen veterans.

When you have cans or bottles (plastic or glass) which have the OR Refundable Deposit on them and would like to support our program, please drop them off in the barrel at any of the following locations ~
