Convalescent Equipment Loan Program
The Convalescent Equipment Program has been a top fundraising activity for KCLC. The most common equipment we often have on hand are wheelchairs, shower stools & chairs (swivel, sliding, XL), walkers (seated and non), commode (seat risers, safety rails and full bed side), crutches, and canes. On occasion we have more specialized items such as transport chairs, walking boots, blood pressure cuffs etc.
Donations are encouraged based on the equipment you are needing and the length of time you will be using it.
Call Lion Rick @ (503) 515-3212 to coordinate a date/time to meet at our storage garage to pick-up needed equipment or drop off your CLEAN and GENTLY USED equipment.
Because of limited space, special arrangements need to be made for larger items such as electric scooters. motorized wheelchairs, lift chairs or hospital beds.
RECYCLING
* Bottle Drop Give [formerly known as CANS (& bottles) FOR A CAUSE] is fast becoming one of our best fundraisers. Through the years we have raised over $13K allowing our Club to send over a dozen veterans back east to visit their approporate Memorial. With the implementation of the Blue Bag program, we have seen tremendous growth in funds raised allowing us to also increase our contributions to local food banks and shelters in our community.
HOW TO CONTRIBUTE ~ Fill a Blue Bag with cans or bottles (plastic or glass) which have the OR Refundable Deposit on them. Turn the bag into your local Bottle Drop location, drop it off in the barrel at any of the locations listed below, or contact Lion Bill Girken for Pick Up (see info below) ~
