Marie Curie Daffodil Appeal

We were pleased to be able to help with the Marie Curie Daffodil Appeal in it's collections at Morrisons Kettering. Many thanks to all the generous people shoping at the above store who kindly donated to this worth cause supporting people and their families through end of life care.

We were very pleased to be able to welcome Keith and Augustina to the club recently. Keith having served our fellow club in Luton and transferring to ourselves, Augustina, shown here being inducted by President George (Right) and Secretary Bernard (Left), a new inductee to Lions. We're very grateful for them joining us.
We very much enjoyed our recent Pub Quiz at Star Inn Geddington and many thanks to them for hosting our fundraising quiz. They helped us raised over £300 for local causes, we even participated in the quiz, putting our best general knowledge gurus forward and managing to avoid the wooden spoon.

 SANTA'S SLEIGH COLLECTIONS

Thank you to all the generous people of Kettering who donated to our Santa Collections over the festive period. A bit thanks to Kettering Women's Institute, Tesco Kettering and Barton Seagrave Community Centre. Santa and his Lions helpers are very grateful for those donations, raising over £2000 this year via the Santa Sleigh events. This helps us to support local causes and we provided £400 each to the following food banks: Irthlingborough Food Bank, The Shack Food Project , Kettering Food Bank, Home Start, KCU, Highfield Barnes Foodbank, St
Peter & Paul (Photo seen here with our President George).

Kettering General Hospital Radio - Lions continue to support.

John Radford of Kettering General Hospital Radio receiving our Christmas donation of £100 in recognition of the valuable service they provide to the local community as volunteers.

BRITISH LEGION POPPY APPEAL

We're looking forward to helping the British Legion with their Poppy Appeal again this year. Kettering Lions are helping this worthy cause by selling poppies and other charity merchandise throughout late October, early November in Tesco Kettering.

CHARTER DINNER

We recently had our annual Charter Dinner at the Ritz Desborough. Kettering Lions welcomed Lions members from friends and neighbouring clubs as well as other distinguished guests. We were honoured to receive former Mayor of Kettering Emily Fedorowycz who gave a fascinating talk on her time as Mayor and ongoing involvement in community service work.
