My Journey With Lions

As an active member of organization, I was involved in social service since long. Being interested in social work, I came to know about Lions Club via active leader Lion Yadav Prasad Pathak (Lions Club International District, 325 B1, Nepal). He encouraged me to charter a club where we decided to involve many young and active activists from different professions who were interested in social service and were personally interested in sharing knowledge and their skill with the club.

Later on, I came to know about District Advisor Lion Bhoj Raj Neupane (Lions Club International District, 325 B2, Nepal) who were involved in Lions Club since long. After meeting him, I came to know that we both have same area of interest. Also, he was willing to charter new club with the help of good, active members.

Then after, while naming the club, I suggested the name "Nirbana" as within this club we were willing to do spiritual awareness, psychological service and social service.  Finally, on March 9 2016, successfully the club was established as "Lions Club of Kathmandu Nirbana."

After its establishment, I got an opportunity to become the first vice president. I got an opportunity to serve as an active social worker. In district cabinet meeting, I got an opportunity to conduct musical healing program where participants were made aware about how musical healing helps in stress management. 

In 2016-17, it was my pleasure to be honored as President of Lions Club of Kathmandu, Nirbana. During my tenure, I conducted meditation, stress management program, creative art therapy and so on. Within the club, I got to interact with various personnel and conducted various programs on spiritual practice, meditation and so on. Effectively, I continued my work on social service.

After completion of my tenure, the other presidents and members are working effectively and contributing a lot in the sector of social service.

In this journey, I got an opportunity to work with various people, gain and share my knowledge and was able to follow my passion successfully.

I would like to thanks District Governor RS Mahato, First VDG Dina Nath Neupane, District Executive Chief Bhoj Raj Neupane, District Chief Lion Kul Raj Thapa & Hari Prasad Mainali Area and all entire family of Lions Club Nirbana, Kathmandu.

Also, I would like to congratulate president Lion Pramesh Ghimire and wish you all the best for your successful tenure and upcoming future. Also, I want you to know that I will be always there for you as your back support.
