LIONS CLUB OF KATHMANDU DOWN TOWN
Introduction:
Lions Club of Kathmand Down Town is one of the chartered clubs of Lions Clubs International which was chartered in November 1988 with 20 chartered members under District 325 A2 and Multiple District 325 Nepal. The club was established with the aim to helping out to the needy people with all kind of humanitarian assistance. From the very inception period, the club has been providing different kind of humanitarian assistance like emergency needs – foods, temporary shelters, medicines; medical treatment assistance; cataract operations, scholarship, many other activities. Apart from these assistances, the club has been also organizing different heath camps – like eye camps, general and specific health camps, etc, especially focusing to those who are poor and can not afford to pay the hospital costs.
All these services that the club provides are of free of cost. The dedicated club members are main source of its inspiration and resources who come forward to support and sponsor the club activities without expecting any return. Apart from it, the club also organizes different fund raising activities in order to continue and carry out the club activities.
