Lions Club International is a very prestigious organization which is serving the society for their betterment.   This organization in India has been  established in 1954 and  Lions Club of Kalyan in 1956.  All over world we have 46,385 clubs and total members in the world are 13,60,121 nos..  America is No.1 and is having 11,975 clubs and 3,31,952 members.  India has 6201 clubs and total members are 2,22,826 nos.

We, all the members of Kalyan Club are very much proud for connected with Lions Club of International which is very prestigious organization in the world and our club has completed 58 years in Lionism.  We salute our all charter and senior members of this club.  They have done lot of good works for our nation in 1965 during India Pakistan war for running free canteen for jawans for 3 months on military front.

We also help to build houses for earthquake suffered homeless people in Latur and Bhuj.  We also help people in each and every calamities whether it is in Maharashtra, Gujarat (Kutchh) or North India. Our members personally visit the sites and play very important roll in our Lions Club activities. 

Our quiz programme is very popular and Lions Club of Kalyan is actively taking part to train the teachers to enhance their knowledge and skill.   We are involved in lot of activities like medical camp, eye operations, hospitals, borewell etc where all our members are participated whole heartedly.  But our main activities are eye operations and setting up eye hospital.  Our District 323 A2 has built big hospital at Koparkhairane in Navi Mumbai where thousands of poor people are taking advantage of it in nominal cost.   We also have dialysis facilities with many machines installed in our hospital at very nominal cost and people are taking advantage of the same. 

In short, we serve the people whenever there is need to anybody whether it is eduction, training programme, drinking water, medical etc.
