CLUB HISTORY
In May 1976, Lions from Lions Club Sonepat came to form a Lions Club at Kaithal. They contacted Dr Kamlesh Bansal and Sh Lal Chand Advocate for the purpose. Ultimately in the last week of the May 1976, the club was inaugurated by District Governor Mohinder Kumar in a meeting held at R.K.S.D. College, Kaithal.
On October 1st. 1976 Charter was presented by D.G. Lion S.N. Nautial Income Tax Commissioner in the Rama Krishana Hall of R. K. S. D. College, Kaithal.
Lion Ved Parkash Gupta and Lion R.S. Duggal from Ambala were made the coordinators and Lion R.S. Malik from Sonepat was made the guiding Lion for the Club.
Lion Lal Chand Gupta Advocate was the Charter President. Dr. Kamlesh Bansal took over as Charter Secretary from Dr Naresh Dewan who left the city after two months of inauguration of the Club.
Lion B. D. Gupta was the charter treasurer.

We have lost our charter members lion Lion P.K.Gupta, Lion Prem Chand Shorewala, Lion Charan Chand Shorewala, Lion Vinod Malikpuria, Lion Jugal Vij, Lion Youdhister Mangla.
We have our own Lion Bhawan which is rare with other Lions Clubs of the district.

The period of thirty five years is not a small period for the club to grow up continuously undertaking several fruitful social activities for the benefit of the society. The credit for the tremendous success of the Club must go to founder members, who, with a great zeal and vision, contributed a lot of this consistent growth. Our tribute and sweet remembrance are also to departed souls who were like a bacon and torch bearer in our path of service.
