Dec 7. Santa’s Toyshop Giveaway @ Jurupa Valley’s Operations Department. 10am-2pm, while supplies last. Join the Jurupa Valley RivCo Lions Club and Machado Family Giving in cooperation with Toys 4 Tots, giveaway 10,000 New Toys to Jurupa Valley children.
Sept 28. UnPlug and Play Toy Giveway @ Mission Middle School. 10am-2pm, while supplies last. Jurupa Valley RivCo Lions in participation with Machado Family Giving and Toys 4 Tots will be giving away 4000 new toys to Jurupa Valley Children.
Sept 20. Jurupa Valley RivCo Lions Club Induction and Celebration at the VFW. Dinner starts at 6pm, Club induction and celebration at 7:30pm. It's the VFW Auxiliary Night menu to be announced. Dinner donation $15. Please Please put this on your schedule to attend. We will officially induct all members and our Club.
Aug 19 Pizza Plugg Meet and Greet- Join us for a pizza, Buy a slice or take a pizza home. Supporting our Members Ronnie and Denise. 6280 Mission Blvd, Jurupa Valley. 6-7pm
July 28 Jurupa Valley Adopt a Family- Christmas in July. Lion Jenn needs volunteers to make this day special for the families in Jurupa Valley. Please let me know if you're available to help.
July 27: National Day of the American Cowboy. We'll be volunteering with our Sponsor Club, The Norco Lions for the Annual National Day of the Cowboy in Norco. Volunteers needed to help at the Beer Garden and learn how to put on large fundraising event.
July 27. Backpack Giveaway at JUSD Student center, 8am-noon. Machado Family Giving has donated 500 backpacks and Brian (Hubby) and I are working to acquire the supplies. We'll need volunteers to stuff the backpacks before the event and volunteers the day of the event. Fantastic Community Outreach. Thank you to Lion Chuck and Stephanie for your donation. July 26. National Disability Awareness Day (Signing of the ADA) Celebration planning, please contact me if you can help.
July 20 Rib Cook Off. JV American Legion. Support another Non-Profit Organization for a Rib Cook Off. Do you like to compete or just eat, either way, it'll be fun. Myself, Matt and Seth are currently competing in the American Legion Annual Rib Cook Off. There's no better way than to relax and enjoy another's company over the small of ribs. Interested in Competing or attending, please let me know.
July 12 from 11am-1pm. We need 3 Volunteers to participate in the Pop-Up Clinic at the JV Operations Center. Let's support Lion Dr. Contreras and her team. Our Club will host a booth to provide information to the community.
July 4th: THANK YOU to Lion Claudia for acquiring a donated Desktop Computer and Lion George for optimizing the computer to be donated to JMDC on July 4th. Great Job!!!!
July 4th. Camping with a Cause @ Jurupa Mountain Discovery Center (JMDC). Potluck picnic and Fireworks viewing on Mt Rubidoux, with the option to camp. Please contact Mirna or Pamela- Private event by invitation only
