The Jamestown Lions awarded $6,000 in scholarships to eight 2021 Jamestown High School graduating seniors. Over the years the Jamestown Lions have awarded over $120,000 in scholarships. Pictured are this year's winners (L to R) Sean McElhinny, Kaylyn Thurber, Camri Mayer, Seth Taylor, Chase McLaughlin, Nicholas Figiel, Daniel Parks, and Jessica Graham. Awarding the scholarships are Lions George Donner (third from left), Scholarship Chairman and President Fred Williams (far left). Congratulations to the winners and good luck in your future endeavors.

 

Our club recently installed our officers for the 2020-21 Lion year. They are: President Fred Williams, 1st VP Dan Bickel, 2nd VP John Hodge, Treasurer John Krygowski, Secretary Mike Seman, Asst. Sec. Bonnie Sowers, Directors Steve deKramer, Ed Hatton, Chip Martin and Dorothy Blake, Membership Chairman Bob Blake, and Immediate Past President Lonny Sowers. Congratulations to all!

 

The Jamestown PA Lions awarded scholarships totaling $6,000 to 2020 Jamestown graduating seniors. This brings the total for scholarships awarded by the club to over $137,000! Pictured accepting their scholarships are (LtoR): Gabrielle Potter, Kinsey Lowers, Brooke Lees, Brianna Nuhfer, Kara McKelvey, and Hunter Cowher. Not pictured is Kayla King. Lion Andrew Fornel (left) Ray Roy, and Cynthia Jones (wife of member Bart Jones) explore some of the features of the new computer purchased for the Roy family.  Because of sight impairments Ray has difficulity viewing a traditional computer and keyboard.  This computer has a large touch screen and the keyboard  has oversized characters making it easier to read.
