The Ipswich Lions Club is Hosting Their Fourth Annual
Rise Against Hunger Meal Packing Event
Saturday March 23, 2019, 8:00 am to 12:00pm
At the Ascension Memorial Church, 31 County Street, Ipswich, MA.
Established in 1998, Rise Against Hunger is an organization that coordinates the distribution of food and other lifesaving aid to crisis burdened areas around the world. This is accomplished through community supported meal packing events.
The Ipswich Lions Club plans to successfully repeat last year’s goal of raising the needed funds to cover the cost of 50,000 meals AND then to pack those 50,000 meals in under four hours.
Here’s how you can help:
- Join more than 200 volunteers of all ages and have a wonderful time packing the meals. I guarantee that you will leave feeling as if you have made a difference for someone else in the world. If interested, contact Jen at (781) 801-6579 or RAHwithIpswichLions@gmail.com
- Please share the information about this event with others who might be interested in actively doing something that helps reduce the hunger and malnutrition of others.
- Please consider a donation toward the meals being packaged. Each meals feeds six people and costs only 29 cents - $29.00 pays for 100 meals.
Donations may be made online: http://events.stophungernow.org/Lions or
Donations may mailed to the Ipswich Lions Club, PO Box 525, Ipswich, MA 01938 or
Donations may be dropped off, in-person, at Zumis or Forget Me Not, in downtown Ipswich.
Please write all checks out to Rise Against Hunger
