Meetings

Monthly Projects

The Noland Road Clean-up Project helps Independence be an attractive and safe community to live in.

The second and third Wednesdays of each month, we invite community speakers to keep us updated of current and future services and needs of our community.

We support and lend manpower to the Stone Church Neighborhood Dinner Project.

Annual Projects

On the Labor Day Weekend we join with the Independence Chamber of Commerce for the SantaCaliGon Festival around the Independence Square in Independence.   We cook and sell a variety of brat, hot dogs, and the best brisket sandwich you ever tasted.  This is our largest fundraiser of the year.

We provide scholarships to students in need and support Project Graduation in local High Schools.

We assist in funding and make material donations to the Cornerstone Back to School Project.

We assist with utility payments through Ishare .

Special Projects

In addition to support for Lions Club International initiatives, in partnership with the Independence Host Club, we support the Lions initiated Eye Fund through the Truman Heartland Foundation.

We assist hearing testing with the Lions Hearing Van.
