The Lions Club of Honnavar was started in the year 1976 with the purpose of serving the needy, downtrodden, neglected and poor people in the society. Since last 42 years, Lions of Honnavar have done social and educational services in and around of Honnavar.
The approach road from Bunder to Government Hospital, Isolation ward, Extension of maternity ward,twin houses for the flood victims,donation of boat to gundabala, educational activities, tree plantation, honouring teachers, financial help to the students, honouring meritorious students, eye check up and operation camps,Medical check up, Dental check up camps, construction of Bus shelters speak volumes about the services rendered by the Lions Club of Honnavr.
