Eye Clinic (LECTCVI)
Supported by the United Way of the Virginia Highlands
The Lions Eye Clinic of the Twin Counties of Virginia, Inc. (LECTCVI), is currently housed in the United Way building in Galax, and is operated and supported by the Lions Clubs from Fries, Galax, Independence and Hillsville.
Begun on October 7, 1997, and it offers clinic services to citizens without medical insurance (Clients). Potential clients are required to submit an application to the appropriate Lions Club. Carroll county residents should mail their application as listed below. If approved, then they will be notified by mail of an appointment time for eye examination and subsequent glasses fitting if required.

Hours of Operation: Typically one day per month, usually on the 2nd Monday at beginning at 2:00PM.
Clients: All "clients" are referrals from any of the four Clubs, depending upon the geographic region in which the applicant resides.
