Melvin Jones Fellowship Award
This Award is the Lions Club Foundation's highest form of recognition acknowledging an individual's dedication to humanitarian service. The fellowship represents humanitarian qualities, generosity, compassion and concern for the less fortunate. The Fellowship is named for the founder of the Lions Clubs International, Melvin Jones.
The Melvin Jones Fellowship recognizes donations of US$1,000. It is the backbone of LCIF, providing 70 percent of the foundation's revenue. A recognition of humanitarian work, an MJF is an honor presented to those who donate US$1,000 to LCIF or to people for whom a donation was made by others. Melvin Jones Fellows receive an attractive lapel pin, a plaque and a congratulatory letter.
