Hartford County Everest Centennial Lions Club
Brief Information
The Hartford County Everest Centennial Lions Club was organized on August 28, 2016, and officially approved by Lions Clubs International on September 12, 2016. The first Charter Night was held on November 20, 2016, at the Haveli India Restaurant in Middletown, Connecticut. The club was chartered under the District Governorship of Kathy Randall (PCC), with Ev Lyons (PCC) serving as the Guiding Lion. The club was organized by Charter President Raj Shrestha, whose extensive community outreach was instrumental in its formation. This is the first culture-based specialty Lions Club of its kind in Connecticut and played a pioneering role in expanding the culture based Specialty Lions Clubs in the state. Four Culture Based Specialty Lions Clubs have been chartered since then in Lions International, District 23-B, Connecticut.
