Hampton Lions Clubs Team Up 

For Sight & Hearing Screening

The Hampton Lions Clubs, Hampton Phoebus, Northampton and Hampton Mercury anticipate teaming up again for a Sight & Hearing Screening on Saturday, August 12, 2017, using the District 24-D Mobile Sight & Hearing Unit. Again this year we will use the SPOT camera to screen school students for vision issues. SPOT is an automated and computerized mobile hand-held device that from a meter’s distance could determine the focus and alignment of a child’s eyes in one second!  Last year the Hampton Clubs participated in this "Back to School" event sponsored by Hampton Ecumenical Lodgings and Provisions (H.E.L.P.). We had a successful screening, with 41 individuals screened. The Hampton Lions clubs enjoyed working together on this project and similar events like this can be expected in the future.
