At the Hamlin Lions Club, we believe that real service happens close to home.
Our projects are built around one simple idea: when neighbors help neighbors, everyone wins.
Below are just a few of the ways we make a difference right here in our community.
🏥 Medical Loan Closet – Equipment for Independence
When mobility becomes a challenge, we step in to help.
Our Medical Loan Closet offers free short-term use of wheelchairs, walkers, shower chairs, and other equipment to anyone in need — no paperwork, no red tape, just help when you need it.
Every loan means one more person can stay active, independent, and confident.

👓 Vision Care & Eyeglass Recycling – The Gift of Sight
For nearly 100 years, Lions have been known as Knights of the Blind.
We collect used eyeglasses, help fund eye exams, and support vision programs for people of all ages.
Those old glasses in your drawer? We turn them into a new view of the world for someone in need.
📦 Drop-off boxes are located at Hamlin Town Hall, the Hamlin Public Library, and The Farmers Table Restaurant.
🎓 Youth & Scholarship Programs – Investing in Tomorrow
We’re proud to support local students who lead with heart.
Each year, we award scholarships to graduating seniors who demonstrate academic effort and a strong commitment to community service.
We also sponsor youth vision screenings, volunteer at school events, and encourage leadership through service.
