Lions meet the needs of local communities and the world. The 1.35 million members of our volunteer organization in 206 countries and geographic areas are different in many ways, but share a core belief – community is what we make it.
Alabama Lions Sight Conservation Association, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit state project of the Lions Clubs of Alabama. Funding medically necessary eye care for low-income adults and children, and providing vision screenings in school and communities across the state, the Lions have truly made the difference between blindness and sight for thousands of people.
The Starkey Hearing Foundation travels around the globe and provides hearing aids, free of charge, to deaf and hard-of-hearing people who can't afford this life-changing technology. Every year, the foundation conducts more than 100 hearing mission trips worldwide, providing more than 20,000 hearing aids to the hearing impaired.
