Meetings

1. Continued sponsorship of Glendale Community  College Leo Club; 100% President Award given to Courtney Oberndorf, Leo Club President .

2. Participated in two major Health Fairs, screened 410 people, gave 150 vouchers for eyeglasses to the Blind Children's Center.

3. Received grant from the Foundation of the Verdugos for IScreen machine to be shared with Crescenta-Canada and Burbank Noon Lions Clubs.

4. Completed two screenings with IScreen machine for 68 infants to age 5.

5. Sponsored Peace Poster Contest at Toll Middle School and Columbus Elementary School. Toll student won the District 4-L1 Contest.

6. Held 15th annual Community Appreciation Dinner honoring the Board of Education of the Glendale Unified School District.

7. Hosted annual Christmas program at Foothill Service Club honoring Peace Poster winner and featuring the Columbus School choir.

8. Club received Character & Ethics Award from Glendale School District.  

9. Club received Special Citation from Assemblywoman Carol Liu for participation in Glendale Health Fair.

10. For donation to third world countries--collected 1100 pairs of used eyeglasses. one hearing aid, and 12 pounds of pull tabs.

11. Members donated $8,000 to local charities, $3,000 to scholarships for special needs students, and $4,050 to Canine Companions for total of $15,050. 

12. Provided photo IDs and fingerprints for 30 students at Columbus Elementary School.

13. Club named No.1 medium size club in District 4-L1 Interclub Activities.

14. Member Lion Vince De Santis, District Zone Chairman, received International Leadership Award. 

15, Member Lion Ross Adams, Club Secretary, received 100% Secretary's Award.

16. Club held 47 meetings and published 22 bulletins.

17. Club voted to sponsor a puppy at Guide Dogs of America.
