Geneva Lions Club hosts an annual Pancake Supper with the proceeds going toward helping with eye exams locally and diabetes camps and education. .Each year the Geneva Lions' Club sponsors students for the youth leadership Camp held in Troy, Alabama. A youth baseball team is sponsored as well as donations given to the Geneva Band and to the fire and rescue department. The Lions Club also helps sponsor the Geneva Band Calendar
The Triangle coming into Geneva on Highway 52 was re-sodded with contributions from the Lions Club.This was a much needed project and adds to the beauty of our town!
The Lions Club added A new “Welcome to Geneva” sign this year. The Lions Club supports the beautification of our lovely town.
Donations are made to the Summer Program-Read to Students. Also donations were given to the Warren Beck Leadership Organization as well as other local organizations. Members from the Lions Club also participate in the “Ringing of the Bell” For the Salvation Army .
Donations are given to the Alabama Lions Sight Association as well as SEACAP, DHR for Christmas, FFA and the American Legion Camp.
The Geneva Lions Club received the Volunteer Service Award from Wiregrass HRDC. The Lions Club participated in Stuff the Semi, helped with Brown Bags for senior citizens and gave generously of their time and money to help school Children with school supplies. The Club was honored to win such a prestigious award.
We are pleased to announce that we sponsored a band member from Geneva High School to attend our National Lion Convention to march in the 100 member band to celebrate 100 years of Lionism.
