Rental Details: The rental amount of $580 (non-refundable) is payable in full ONE MONTH prior to the scheduled rental date. The deposit of $250 (refundable upon completion of an acceptable inspection by the Lions Club rental agent or their designated representative and all other conditions are met) is payable upon booking the rental.

CANCELLATION POLICY:  ONE MONTH's notice is required for cancellation of a reservation in order to receive a refund of your deposit minus credit card processing fees. Without one month's notice, the deposit is forfeited. Rent is due 30 days prior to your rental date. An invoice will be sent approximately 45 days prior to your rental. 

Event Guidlines: The building has an occupancy rate of 120. The building must be vacated (including the clean up) no later than 10:00 PM. Noise ordinances do not allow live bands/loud music in a residential setting. We ask that you keep this in mind when planning your event.

ALCOHOL POLICY: Beer and wine (NO HARD ALCOHOL) may be consumed inside our building with the following provisions: * An off-duty Garner NC police officer must be on site for the entire duration of the event. * The renter will state, in the rental contract, the beginning and ending time for the event at which alcohol will be served. This will be the time period for which the police officer is hired. * The renter will pay the cost for hiring this officer at the current rate established by the Garner Police Department, with a minimum of three hours. * This fee must be paid at the time the rent is paid for the use of the building, but no less than 30 days prior to date of rental. * Once this fee is paid, the Garner Lions Club will hire an off-duty Garner Police Officer to work at the event. 

LIABILITY: The Garner Lions Club is NOT liable for any personal injuries or injuries to property as a result of any activity during rental of our building and/or property.

RULES: No smoking permitted inside the Lions Club building. No firearms or weapons of any type are permitted inside the Lions Club building or on the Lions Club property. MUSIC and NOISE NO BANDS ALLOWED. A. Radios and stereos are allowed but noise levels are to be kept within a reasonable level and are to remain below the town of Garner noise ordinance. B. Building exterior doors should remain closed. Decorations, etc. for parties or events are to be used in a manner to not damage the building or property and are to be removed as part of the clean-up. A. No glitter or stars allowed. If evidence of glitter is found in building or grounds, you will be fined. No tape or other means of securing decorations that stain or damage the walls may be used. All ceiling decorations and securing devices must be removed completely during cleanup.

CLEANING: The building and property are to be in a clean and orderly condition when you vacate the property. A. This includes, but is not limited to, sweeping. If you spill something on th floor, wipe it up immediately with paper towels and water, if necessary.  All marks must be removed from floors. NOTE: FLOOR IN MAIN ROOM MAY BE MOPPED WITH PLAIN WATER ONLY unless special cleaner is provided by the Garner Lions Club. All tables and chairs must be folded and put away per the diagram posted. NOTE: THIS ALSO INCLUDES REMOVING ALL TRASH AND LITTER FROM THE GROUNDS. PIANO Do not move the piano. A charge of $125 will be billed to the renter to pay for tuning the piano if it has been moved.  GARBAGE and TRASH All trash cans and garbage cans shall be emptied; trash and garbage will be placed in the dumpster out back of the Lions Club building and liners in trash cans and garbage cans will be replaced.

CHECKLIST: Checklist of items that must be completed. The dollar amount following each item will be deducted from the deposit if items are not in compliance. THERE WILL BE A COPY OF THIS CHECKLIST IN THE KITCHEN FOR YOU TO INITIAL AND SIGN BEFORE YOU LEAVE THE BUILDING. THIS IS TO ENSURE THAT ALL IS DONE SO YOUR DEPOSIT CAN BE REFUNDED. 1.Tables and chairs must be folded and stacked as per the diagram posted. $20.00 [NOTE: We have 18 tables that are 8 feet long and 122 chairs. Chairs are 34” tall; the backs are 11 ½” high, 21” wide and 2” thick; the seats are 17” square. Dimensions of the main room are 58' x 38'] 2. All chairs must be accounted for. $50.00 for each missing or damaged chair. 3. All tables must be accounted for. $125.00 for each missing or damaged table. 4. Tables, chairs, and kitchen counter tops must be wiped clean using hot washcloth and cleaner. Cleaning supplies are beside kitchen sink. $20.00 5. Sweep all floors – banquet room, bathrooms, kitchen, and hallway. $20.00 6. Any marks, spills or spots on the floor must be cleaned. $35.00 NOTE: FLOOR IN MAIN ROOM MAY BE MOPPED WITH PLAIN WATER ONLY unless special cleaner is provided by the Garner Lions Club. 7. Clean oven and microwave, if used during the rental. $20.00 8. Refrigerator must be left clean. No food or ice left in refrigerator. Kitchen sink must be left clean. $20.00 9. All trash including paper from exterior grounds must be placed in the dumpster. $20.00 10. All trash cans must be emptied into dumpster. Replace all large trash can liners and small trash can liners in each bathroom. $20.00 11. Adjust thermostat to 78 in spring & summer months and 65 in fall & winter months. $50.00 12. If the piano is moved, you will be charged for tuning. Do NOT move the piano. $125.00 13. No GLITTER or STARS are allowed. If evidence of glitter is found in building or grounds, you will be fined $25.00. Item 11 The rental rate to use the property for a fundraiser or commercial enterprise event is $350 per day and any such use must have the Garner Lions Club Board of Directors’ prior approval. A. The Lions Club name will not be used or in any way implied to be a sponsor or supporter of the fundraiser or commercial enterprise event. B. Any tickets/advertisements should include a disclaimer to that effect Recipient initial Item 8 All refuse and garbage will be placed in the dumpster out back of the Lions Club building.
