Club Projects

Scholarships - Each year threee, $1,000.00 scholarships are awarded to graduating high school seniors.  These scholarships are given to students who exemplify our mission of helping others.

Eyeglass & Hearing Aid Collection Program - Eyeglasses & hearing aids are collected, refurbished, and distributed to those in need, in cooperation with our Lions District.

Rotary Beautification Program - Our club seasonally maintains and beautifies a portion of land within the rotary where Central, Elm, Green and Pearl Streets meet in Gardner.

Sight and Hearing Fund - Our Sight and Hearing Committee helps those in our community who require assistance with glasses, hearing aids and other needs by funding all or a portion of the need.  Our club also works directly with local ophthalmologists to provide eye exams for those in need of eye glasses. 

Christmas Day Dinner - Each Christmas day Lions Club members join the Gardner Leo Club and the Gardner Council on Aging to sponsor a Christmas Dinner for our Senior Citizens and those less fortunate.

Sightmobile - Typically located in Gardner during the annual Relay for Life of Greater Gardner, the Sighmobile offers vision, hearing and blood pressure testing for anyone who chooses to do so, free of charge.  A new sight mobile has been obtained by the District.  

Youth Sports - Our club donates yearly to local youth sports organizations.  

HOPE House - Our club is proud to donate and support our local House of Peace and Education (HOPE).  Providing the youth in our community a safe place to explore their talents, learn and grow.  

Bicycle Program - Abandoned bicycles are donated by the Gardner Police Station and are rehabbed my the Lions members to meet the needs of our community.
