Eyeglasses Collection

Fruitland Park Lions collect eyeglasses from many sites in Leesburg and Fruitland Park, Florida.  When enough are collected, we get together for a "sort" and separate them into boxes of prescription glasses, sun glasses, prescription sun glasses, bi-focals and readers.  The glasses then go to the Ocoee distribution center for further processing.  They are then shipped all over the world for distribution to people who have none.

Diabetes Screening

Type 2 diabetes screening events are an important way to help your community understand their diabetes risk and take steps toward prevention.  On October 9, 2023, Lions Pat and David Fleming were cleared to begin diabetes blood testing for our community of Fruitland Park, FL.  Congratulations Pat and David!
