Type 2 diabetes screening events are an important way to help your community understand their diabetes risk and take steps toward prevention.  On October 9, 2023, Lions Pat and David Fleming were cleared to begin diabetes blood testing for our community of Fruitland Park, FL.  Congratulations Pat and David!

On April 10, 2023 Chairperson Sonia Sailor presented President John Muller with the Club Excellence Award for the years 2021 - 2022.  The award recognizes a club for membership, service, leadership and Organizational excellence and marketing. 

On March 16, 2023, Lions Linda and Tom went to the Conklin Davis Center for the Visually Impaired to give them a check for $250.  Receiving the check is Nancy Epps, Secretary, Board of Directors.

Fruitland Park Lions Club has received a free bench from Trex as part of their program to provide Trex benches to groups that collect 600 pounds of plastic shopping bags!  We are starting to collect bags for our next bench.
