MEMBERSHIP: Want to make a difference in the world? Consider membership in the Freetown Lions Club. The Lions Club has as one of its goals the elimination of preventable blindness. The members are ordinary people who pay dues, hold a dinner meeting once a month, and work together to raise money to contribute to the promotion of our main goal and to local causes as well. If you are interested and want more information, contact any of the officers listed above.
EYEGLASS DONATIONS: Eyeglasses can be deposited in the purple and yellow receptacle at the small mall next to the Post Office on So. Main St. in Assonet. A second donation box is located at the Senior Center in E. Freetown. Both of these boxes have been emptied and are ready to accept new donations. Thank you for your continued support of this program. So far this year, a total of 537 eyeglasses have been donated at these two collection sites thanks to you!
