Great News! The Forest Lake Lions are again offering the Community Organization Investment Program that allows community organizations to submit requests for funds in a defined, transparent, and online manner.
Note: This program is not intended to fund the operation of a business.
We are implementing this new process to ensure that we are investing our limited funds into the organizations that have the greatest need while meeting the overall mission of the Forest Lake Lions Club.
We invite you to review the requirements and complete a fund request if your organization has a need for funds.
What is the application eligibility criteria?
- IF you are an organization that services individuals within the Forest Lake or surrounding communities of Columbus, East Bethel, Hugo, Lino Lakes, Linwood, Scandia, or Wyoming
- AND your organization does not conduct charitable gambling. Your organization holds a 501(c)(3), 501(c)(4), or your organization meets lawful gambling expenditure criteria.
- THEN your organization is eligible to apply for the Community Organization Investment Program funds.
What is the lawful gambling expenditure criteria?
The funds we are donating have been earned through charitable gambling. Organizations who receive funds have to meet at least one of the lawful gambling expenditure criteria. Click here to learn more about that expenditure criteria.
How and when does an organization apply?
The application period is open from April 1 through April 30. All information requested as part of the application process must be submitted during the application period. Applications not submitted by the deadline and/or containing incomplete information will not be considered. Click here to go to the application.
Will an organization automatically receive funds?
Not necessarily. Requests will be evaluated by the Forest Lake Lions to determine the eligibility to receive funds.
Who do I contact if I have questions about this program?
