The Flower Mound New Century Lions Club collects used prescription eyeglasses, reading glasses, nonprescription sunglasses and usable eyeglass cases through a network of eyeglass collection boxes throughout the town.  These glasses are counted and then delivered to our regional facility in Watauga, Texas.  The glasses are cleaned and then sorted by prescription strength and packaged. Most of the recycled glasses are distributed to people in need in developing countries where they will have the greatest impact.  Imagine if your child could not read because they could not see properly.
